Course description
I believe using digital sketching techniques and 3D CAD side by side results in a powerful workflow, to quickly develop your design and create eye-catching concept presentations. First we’ll produce rough layout sketches based on a 2D underlay to quickly get you started. Then we will explore various concepts in 2D using basic shading techniques. Next up is transforming the most interesting concept into a rough 3D sketch in perspective. Finally we’ll learn how to produce high quality linework, use persuasive rendering techniques and applying storytelling elements to produce a eye-catching concept presentations! You will not be alone. Inside the course you will be surrounded by peers working on the same assignments.

GET FEEDBACK – If you want to make progress fast, this class is for you. You will follow a guided program of 7 modules with video tutorials and assignments. You will have a personal project inside the course to upload your work for review. I will encourage you by reviewing your uploads and by giving you weekly feedback on your work during the whole course. The feedback is marked up visually so you’ll know exactly where to adjust and how to improve. You will also be able to see all uploads by other course members. You can even help your peers by exchanging feedback on each other’s work.

To get the best results it is important that you acquire the right set of tools.

Adobe Photoshop (or similar)
Pen tablet (pressure sensitive) (size matters here, go for a M size preferably)
Install the photoshop brushes and swatches I provide you with.
